David McGeorge – General Manager Support Services Employed by Tamahere Eventide since 2013. I was on the Board at Tamahere Eventide when Louis asked if I would like to apply for the Gen- eral Manager Support Services Role when it was created three years ago. My previous work experience was as a Business Banker with ANZ Bank: a thirty five year career straight from school. The mixing of my work life with my Church life has been a great experience for me as life-long Meth- odist and has allowed me to work for an organisation with common ethical ideals to my own. I received my Mas- ters of Business Administration as an adult in 2002 from Massey Uni- versity. Sue Pollock – General Manager Care Services After completing my nursing train- ing in 1992, I started work as a staff nurse at Te Kuiti Hospital, and worked there until 2000. I then began a community role as district nurse and worked in Kawhia, Te Awamutu and Otorohanga until 2009. I had a small period in my career in which I tried other avenues of nursing. These roles included working as a school nurse, and work in the elderly ortho- paedic rehab ward at Waikato Hospi- tal. In 2010 I began working at Camellia Resthome, a small 30 bed resthome in Te Awamutu, as the Nurse Manag- er. During my time here, I complet- ed my Certificate in Adult Teaching and also took on a clinical tutor role for WINTEC, in which I supported stu- dents in their clinical placements. Over my years of nursing, I devel- oped a passion for the need for con- tinuous quality improvement and de- cided to complete my health auditor training. With the support of my em- ployer at Camellia Resthome, I took on auditing work in which I had the privilege of visiting care facilities to audit against the NZ health and disa- bility sector standards. In July 2015, I began work here at Tamahere Eventide as Clinical Nurse Manager. I was then fortunate enough to be presented with the op- portunity to take on the role of Gen- eral Manager Care Services. This has been an extremely challenging, but very rewarding role. I have been given an incredible amount of sup- port to implement changes, and feel very excited and positive about the future for residents and staff here at TEH.
