Themed ‘Ignite the Future’, BEIA’s first conference for the New Zealand industry in three years is timed to fire up discussion on the challenges, opportunities and business models needed ahead. BEIA Chief Executive, Lisa Hopkins says after a tough two and half years for the business events sector, now is the time to move forward at pace and with optimism. “The conference gives our members the opportunity to reconnect in an energizing environment, and work on discussions on day two. He will be facilitating a deep analysis of the changed market and redesigned ecosystem, focusing on new roles, new players, and new rules of engagement. The programme also introduces a chance to experience the Hawke’s Bay region’s wine and food culture, Art Deco heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and wildlife activities. “This is the ideal time to connect with others in the industry and, as we know, shared experiences create stronger bonds. Hawke’s Bay region will the perfect place to do this – with stunning views to the horizon across the Pacific Ocean from the waterfront conference centre in Napier, and time off to explore the region, network, and soak up ideas,” Lisa Hopkins says. The Old Church Napier is set for the welcome function on 4 October, with ToiToi - Hawke’s Bay Arts and Event Centre hosting the gala dinner on 6 October. First-timers will be welcomed at a special event on Tuesday afternoon, 4 October. Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) is the official membership-based association of New Zealand’s business events sector. It has more than 460 members across a broad range of industries. BEIA works to actively promote the sector for its members and New Zealand. It provides advocacy with central government and offers assistance, information, professional development and business connections to its members.
