Following a year that many have described at tumultuous at best, it is my hope for you that 2022 is full of success. Travel, Creation, and The Environment. This issue of Business View Oceania features industry innovators across our Tourism, Construction, Clean and Green, and Manufacturing Views. We begin by taking a close look at New Zealand Tourism facilitators, including the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ), New Zealand Cruise Association (NZCA), Tourism Export Council of New Zealand, (TECNZ), and The Private Travel Company. TAANZ represents New Zealand travel agents, travel brokers, tour operators, and associated industry partners through the promotion of quality standards, ethical business practices, safe travel, unbiased travel options, and consistent professionalism. NZCA, headquartered in Auckland, is the peak body association and lading voice for New Zealand’s cruise sector. The association works to lead a positive, proactive, and operationally sound cruise community across the country, providing insight into industry areas of note including progressive leadership, global trends, operational and infrastructural facilitation, sustainable best practice, and collaborative development. TECNZ has been in operation since 1971, and is the only association in New Zealand that focuses entirely on the inbound tourism sector. We finish out Tourism View with The Private Travel Company. The Private Travel Company is a team of ten independent senior trave advisors that work in the luxury tourism space to provide complex, personal travel plans for the discerning customer. Construction highlights for this issue include the Traffic Management Association of Australia (TMAA), Safe Direction, and Enchanted Pools. TMAA works to lead, unify, and achieve best practice within the traffic management industry on behalf of all traffic management company, traffic controller, and industry associate members. The organisation has been in operation since 2011, and supports 185 members across Australia. Safe Direction is Australia’s leading manufacturer of road safety barriers and guardrail systems. Through their own proprietary brands; RHINO-STOP, CrocGuard, RAMSHIELD, and more, Safe Direction designs, manufactures, supplies, and installs top quality road and bridge barriers, car park safety and barrier systems, warehouse barriers, and pedestrian fencing. Concluding our Construction View is Melbourne’s Enchanted Pools. Enchanted Pools specialise in the supply and install of fibreglass and custom-built concrete pools. A relatively new business that began in 2019, this company has invested heavily in innovative technology to support their growth and the clients they service. Moving into our Clean and Green Sector, Business View Oceania features Austim and Ecopod Concepts. Austim have led the way in high quality, sustainable timber supply across Western Australia since 1985. Founded to fill a gap in the local market concerning a lack of timber species variety and import capability, Austim supplies solid timber products for both structural and decorative use. Ecopod Concepts are a team of 15 dedicated and highly experienced individuals servicing the transportable building industry in New Zealand through their sustainable, affordable, and highly customisable transportable ecopods. Finally, we conclude our issue with Animals Like Us, for our Manufacturing View. Animals Like Us is a New Zealand born, owned, and operated manufacturer of premium quality dog food designed to meet the nutritional needs of pets as well as functional needs of the discerning pet owner. The company brings fresh, exciting, high-quality products to the New Zealand market whilst remaining dedicated to serving pet owners and the local environment through sustainable best practices.
