Like many business owners, Bek has faced the challenges and triumphs that go with growing and scaling your own business. Through her own experience, Bek has gathered her top tips for those who are looking to take the next step in growing their business: Take more risks When it comes to growing your business, you need to be ready to take even more risks. With risk comes reward. For example, if you sell one product, why not try selling two variations. Taking risks can be scary but growing your business means you need to be vulnerable and put yourself and ideas out there in the world. It’s scary, but the result can be incredible. Up-sell Once you have established a brand, it can have so many arms to it. For someone like me who owns a fitness studio, growing my business meant upselling and introducing challenges and additional services and products like branded apparel. Research Research is key when it comes to introducing new products and services. I found it helpful to draw on audience and customer research to uncover studio, clean, keep supplies stocked, everything. What got me through was my unwavering passion for what I do. I am so driven to see people fall in love with moving their bodies and become as hooked on HIIT-to-the-beat workouts as I am. I also believe in my product with everything I have. I know that there is nothing in the world quite like what I offer, and the world needs to experience it. Without passion and believing in yourself, you are setting yourself up for failure. Always back yourself. Give it a go! Know what your big dream is but focus on the next step rather than getting overwhelmed with how momentous the task can seem. Take it one step at a time, and just give it a go. Surround yourself with people who can support you and help you. OPENING L INES not only the types of services and products that are relevant to my business, but the products and services that my customers are looking for. Replicate You can grow and scale your own business simply by replicating it. If you have one location, why not open two? To do this, make sure you have solid systems in place and the manpower required to achieve this. Back yourself Business is hard, and every day it comes with its own set of challenges. I quickly had to learn how to manage a team, and determine what roles needed to be made and filled, all whilst trying to build a membership base, market, sell, manage the BEK STRACHAN OUTLINES: SCALING YOUR BUSINESS
