Australian craft-gin distiller Four Pillars have finally completed their $7million expansion project on their Yarra Valley site after two years of construction, effectively tripling visitor capacity and adding a range of new spaces to the distillery. Having opened to visitors in late April, the coveted location now features a new 1000sqm building with its own ‘gin garden’, a new bar, events spaces, and more. And it’s not only visitor capacity that has dramatically increased- the expansion means production at Four Pillars has also exploded, with the capability to distribute more than a million bottles of gin per year.
Cofounder Cameron Mackenzie shares, “This has been a true labour of love for so many people … This building will hopefully be one that the local community loves, that Victorians come visit regularly, and that gin lovers from around the world feel drawn to when they visit one of the greatest cities in the world- Melbourne.”
Four Pillars was established in 2013 by cofounders Cameron Mackenzie, Matt Jones, and Stuart Gregor. Just six years later, the company was named International Gin Producer of the Year at the 2019 London International Wine & Spirits Competition- and they won again the following year.
