From the Editor – November-December 2022

November 18, 2022

One of the best parts of my job at Business View Oceania is the opportunity to connect with interviewees and talk about what makes their company special. If there’s one thing that always comes up in conversation, it’s the importance of good people.

I’ve heard stories of staff going above and beyond time and time again- in the face of economic crisis, personal emergencies, complex upgrades, research, and innovations, and perhaps most notably, a worldwide pandemic. This common denominator for successful and meaningful businesses has taught me that passionate, motivated, and committed individuals are the lifeblood of any organisation.

Celebrating Distinctive Company Cultures

In line with the above, I am pleased to highlight this month three companies who each embody a progressive company culture driven by fantastic people. In Manufacturing & Processing, we revisit New Zealand’s Superior Pet Food Co. For 15 years, Superior Pet Food Co has provided locally owned, sourced, and manufactured dog food and treats to dedicated pet owners throughout New Zealand. Since we last spoke with them in 2021, this company has committed to extensive expansion projects to better support their people and improve the efficiency of manufacturing operations.

Next up is Maytronics Australia for our Construction View. A pioneer in Aussie automated pool cleaning technology since 2010, Maytronics Australia has expanded their outreach to cover Southern Asia, New Zealand, the Pacific, and South Africa. Despite growing to a staff of over 100, this organisation intrinsically values its staff as individuals, and remains proudly family oriented.

We conclude our issue with Nuzest, for our focus on Health and Sciences. Nuzest is a premium plant-based nutrition provider committed to supporting health-conscious customers around the world with top quality, science-backed nutrition supplements. Led by father-daughter duo, Trevor and Monique Bolland, this is a company that values integrity, transparency, respect, and compassion above all else, placing a great deal of focus on ensuring staff feel looked after, educated, happy, and productive.

That’s it from us for this month. Be well, stay safe, and as always… Enjoy the Read!
