of those years. I was studying at Uni-
versity and working part-time in the
business and then I moved back to
working full time. I became Director in
’97 and managed the business along-
side my parents and my brother. After-
wards, we went through a succession
plan with our parents and so Barry and
I have now jointly managed the busi-
ness for 5 years now.”
Innovating through
constant change
During her years in Fennell Forestry,
Wendy has seen quite a lot of chang-
es in the industry. Technological ad-
vancements and changes in rules and
regulations have all contributed to the
transformation of the industry though
the company’s philosophy and ethics
have largely remained the same. In
fact, the brand recently went through
some major changes after expanding
its business into the woodchip indus-
try.
